One of the largest projects we have been working on is
the Sam Leisey Adamstown Action Park in Adamstown,
PA. Amped Riders is taking the lead to help get a
skatepark built in a town where skateboarding has been
outlawed. Since our team rider, Chris Gentry, happens to
reside in A-town, Garry Moore began working with the
borough of Adamstown to help them provide a safe place
for skaters to ride. We have engineered drawings which
have been approved by the Borough's engineers,
and construction contractor,
Arment Concrete, ready to
begin work. We also have a real need for support for this
project. This ranges from monetary
donations, to in-kind donations, and volunteering to help
with fundraising.

After the success of Amped At The Beach, Amped At The Beach 2 is in
the works. Amped At The Beach is a mix of clinical events and Amped Riders
demonstrations. Of course, the crew also likes a day of relaxation and what
better place to do so other then the beautiful Ocean City.

Our mission is to maintain an organization for amputees
and people with related disabilities that will encourage
them to participate in action sports & activities and to
establish a network of resources that will allow them to
achieve their goals by pushing beyond the perceived
limitations associated with being an amputee we will
create new opportunities for all amputees to be more
active. These opportunities will be realized directly
through advocacy, and indirectly by causing the general
public to adjust to the demands of the highly active
amputee. Using our crew of disabled athletes and
friends, we put on demonstrations, clinics, and camps to
show that with the proper motivation and support, any
disability can be overcome.
